Use of personal data when selecting Klarna as the payment method

If you have chosen Klarna's payment services Klarna Invoice and/or Klarna Installments as a payment option, you have consented to us collecting and transmitting to Klarna the following personal data necessary for processing the invoice purchase and for an identity and credit check, such as first and last name, address, date of birth, gender, email address, IP address, telephone number, as well as the data necessary for processing the invoice purchase related to the order, such as number of items, item number, invoice amount, and taxes as a percentage. The data processing serves the purpose of offering the payment methods invoice purchase and installment purchase as well as the credit check required for this. Processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR with your consent. You can revoke your consent at any time by notifying us, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until revocation.

This data is transmitted so that Klarna can create an invoice for processing your purchase with the invoice handling you requested and can carry out an identity and credit check. Klarna needs the buyer's personal data in order to obtain information from credit agencies for the purpose of identity and credit checks. In Germany, these may be the following credit agencies:

- Schufa Holding AG, Kormoranweg 5, 65203 Wiesbaden

- Bürgel Wirtschaftsinformationen GmbH & Co. KG, Postfach 5001 66, 22701 Hamburg

- Creditreform Bremen Seddig KG, Contrescarpe 17, 28203 Bremen

- infoscore Consumer Data GmbH, Rheinstraße 99, 76532 Baden-Baden.

As part of the decision on the establishment, implementation, or termination of the contractual relationship, Klarna collects and uses, in addition to an address check, information on the buyer's previous payment behavior as well as probability values for this behavior in the future. Klarna calculates these score values on the basis of a scientifically recognized mathematical-statistical procedure. For this purpose, Klarna will also use your address data, among other things. If this calculation shows that your creditworthiness is not sufficient, Klarna will inform you of this immediately.

Revocation of the use of personal data with Klarna

1. You may revoke your consent to the use of your personal data at any time with Klarna. However, Klarna may still be entitled to process, use, and transmit the personal data if this is necessary for contractual payment processing through Klarna's services, is required by law, or is demanded by a court or authority.

2. Of course, you can obtain information at any time about the personal data stored by Klarna. This right is guaranteed by the Federal Data Protection Act. If you as the buyer wish this or would like to inform Klarna of changes regarding the stored data, you can contact datenschutz@klarna.de.

Analytics ad tracking

Use of Google Analytics

We use the web analytics service Google Analytics from Google LLC on our website. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google"). If you have your habitual residence in the European Economic Area or Switzerland, Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) is the controller responsible for your data. Google Ireland Limited is therefore the Google-affiliated company responsible for processing your data and complying with applicable data protection laws.

The data processing serves the purpose of analyzing this website and its visitors as well as for marketing and advertising purposes. For this purpose, Google will use the information obtained on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide further services related to website use and internet use to the website operator. The following information may be collected, among others: IP address, date and time of page access, click path, information about the browser you use and the device you use, pages visited, referrer URL (website from which you accessed our website), location data, purchase activities. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

Google Analytics uses technologies such as cookies, web storage in the browser, and tracking pixels that enable analysis of your use of the website. The information generated in this way about your use of this website is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. IP anonymization is activated on this website. This means that your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmission. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

The use of cookies or comparable technologies is based on Section 15 para. 3 sentence 1 TMG. The processing of your personal data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR due to our overriding legitimate interest in the needs-based and targeted design of the website. You have the right, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to object at any time to this processing of personal data concerning you.

You can prevent Google from collecting the data generated by Google Analytics and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

To prevent data collection and storage by Google Analytics across devices, you can set an opt-out cookie. Opt-out cookies prevent the future collection of your data when visiting this website. You must perform the opt-out on all systems and devices used so that it is fully effective. If you delete the opt-out cookie, requests will be sent to Google again. If you click here, the opt-out cookie will be set: Disable Google Analytics.

Further information on terms of use and data protection can be found at https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html and at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/ as well as at https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies?hl=de.

Use of the Facebook Pixel

We use the remarketing function “Custom Audiences” of Facebook Ireland Limited (4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland "Facebook") on our website.

Facebook Ireland and we are joint controllers for the collection of your data and the transmission of this data to Facebook that takes place when the service is integrated. This is based on an agreement between us and Facebook Ireland on the joint processing of personal data, which defines the respective responsibilities. The agreement can be accessed at https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum. According to this, we are particularly responsible for fulfilling the information obligations pursuant to Art. 13, 14 GDPR, for complying with the security requirements of Art. 32 GDPR with regard to the correct technical implementation and configuration of the service, and for complying with the obligations under Art. 33, 34 GDPR insofar as a breach of personal data protection affects our obligations under the agreement on joint processing. Facebook Ireland is responsible for enabling data subject rights pursuant to Art. 15 - 20 GDPR, for complying with the security requirements of Art. 32 GDPR with regard to the security of the service, and for complying with the obligations under Art. 33, 34 GDPR insofar as a breach of personal data protection affects Facebook Ireland's obligations under the agreement on joint processing.

The application serves the purpose of targeting visitors to the website with interest-based advertising on the social network Facebook. For this purpose, Facebook's remarketing tag has been implemented on the website. This tag establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers when the website is visited. This transmits to the Facebook server which of our pages you have visited. Facebook assigns this information to your personal Facebook user account. When you visit the social network Facebook, you will then be shown personalized, interest-based Facebook ads.

Your data may be transferred to the USA.

The use of cookies or comparable technologies is based on Section 15 para. 3 sentence 1 TMG. The processing of your personal data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR due to our overriding legitimate interest in targeting website visitors with interest-based advertising. You have the right, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to object at any time to this processing of personal data concerning you. You can deactivate the “Custom Audiences” remarketing function here.

Further information on the collection and use of data by Facebook, your related rights, and options for protecting your privacy can be found in Facebook's privacy notice at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

Use of Google Ads conversion tracking

We use the online advertising program “Google Ads” on our website and, as part of this, conversion tracking (visit action evaluation). Google Conversion Tracking is an analytics service of Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google").

When you click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie for conversion tracking is stored on your computer. These cookies have a limited validity period, do not contain personal data, and therefore are not used for personal identification. If you visit certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to this page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. It is therefore not possible to track cookies via the websites of Ads customers.

The information collected with the help of the conversion cookie serves the purpose of creating conversion statistics. In this way, we learn the total number of users who clicked on one of our ads and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, we do not receive any information that can personally identify users.

You can disable personalized advertising for you in Google's ad settings. Instructions can be found at https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922?hl=de

Alternatively, you can prevent the use of cookies by third-party providers by visiting the opt-out page of the Network Advertising Initiative at https://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ and implementing the further opt-out information provided there. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.

Use of Google AdSense

We use the AdSense function of Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google") on our website. Google Ireland Limited is therefore the Google-affiliated company responsible for processing your data and complying with applicable data protection laws. The data processing serves the purpose of renting advertising space on the website and targeting website visitors with interest-based advertising on it. Through this function, personalized, interest-based ads from the Google Display Network are shown to visitors to the provider's website. Google uses cookies that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google may transfer this information to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on Google's behalf. Google will under no circumstances associate your IP address with other Google data.

The use of cookies or comparable technologies is based on Section 15 para. 3 sentence 1 TMG. The processing of your personal data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR due to our overriding legitimate interest in targeting website visitors with interest-based advertising. Use of the remarketing or "Similar Audiences" function of Google Inc.

We use the remarketing or "Similar Audiences" function of Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google") on our website. The application serves the purpose of analyzing visitor behavior and visitor interests. The cookies record visits to the website and anonymized data on website use. No personal data of website visitors is stored. Plug-ins and miscellaneous

Use of social plug-ins via “Shariff”

We use social network plug-ins on our website. So that you retain control over your data, we use the privacy-safe “Shariff" buttons.

No links to the servers of the social networks are established without your express consent, and consequently no data is transmitted.

“Shariff” is a development by the specialists of the computer magazine c’t. It enables more privacy on the web and replaces the usual social networks' “Share” buttons. More information about the Shariff project can be found here https://www.heise.de/ct/artikel/Shariff-Social-Media-Buttons-mit-Datenschutz-2467514.html.

If you click the buttons, a pop-up window appears in which you can log in with your data to the respective provider. Only after this active login by you is a direct connection established to the social networks.

By logging in, you consent to the transfer of your data to the respective social media provider. Among other things, both your IP address and the information about which of our pages you visited are transmitted. If you are connected to one or more of your social network accounts at the same time, the collected information will also be assigned to your respective profiles. You can prevent this assignment only by logging out of your social media accounts before visiting our website and before activating the buttons. The social networks named below are integrated by means of the "Shariff" function.

Further information on the scope and purpose of the collection and use of data as well as your related rights and options for protecting your privacy can be found in the linked privacy notices of the providers.

Facebook from Facebook Inc. (1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA) https://www.facebook.com/policy.php

Use of social plug-ins via the “2-click solution”

We use social network plug-ins on our website by means of the "2-click solution". No connections to the servers of the social networks are established without your express consent, and consequently no data is transmitted.

With the standard integration of plug-ins, when pages of our website containing such a plug-in are accessed, a link is established between your computer and the servers of the providers of the social network and the plug-in is displayed on the page by notifying your browser. In this process, both your IP address and the information about which of our pages you visited are transmitted to the providers' servers. This applies regardless of whether you are registered with or logged in to the social network. Transmission also takes place for users who are not registered or not logged in. If you are also logged in to the Facebook social network, this information is assigned to your personal user account. When using the plug-in functions (e.g. by clicking the button), this information is also assigned to your user account, which you can prevent only by logging out before using the plug-in. So that you retain control over your data, we have decided to initially deactivate the corresponding button. You can recognize this by the grayed-out button. Without your express consent - in the form of activating the button - no link to the social network server is established and consequently no data is transmitted.

Only when you activate the button does it become active (highlighted in color) and a direct connection to the social network servers is established.

By activating it, you consent to the transfer of your data to the respective social network provider. Among other things, both your IP address and the information about which of our pages you visited are transmitted. If you are connected to one or more of your social network accounts at the same time, the collected information will also be assigned to your respective profiles. You can prevent this assignment only by logging out of your user accounts with the social networks before visiting our website and before activating the buttons.

The social networks named below are integrated by means of the "2-click function". Further information on the scope and purpose of the collection and use of data as well as your related rights and options for protecting your privacy can be found in the linked privacy notices of the providers.

The function displays videos stored on YouTube in an iFrame on the website. The “Enhanced Privacy Mode” option is activated. As a result, YouTube does not store any information about visitors to the website. Only when you watch a video is information about it transmitted to YouTube and stored there. Your data may be transferred to the USA.

Use of Vimeo

We use plug-ins from Vimeo Inc. (555 West 18th Street New York, New York 10011, USA; “Vimeo”) on our website to embed videos from the “Vimeo” portal.

If you access pages of our website that are equipped with such a plug-in, a connection to Vimeo's servers is established and the plug-in is displayed on the page by notifying your browser. This transmits both your IP address and the information about which of our pages you visited to Vimeo's servers.

If you are logged in to Vimeo, Vimeo assigns this information to your personal user account. When using the plug-in functions (e.g. by starting a video by pressing the corresponding button), this information is also assigned to your Vimeo account.

Your data may be transferred to the USA.

The use of cookies or comparable technologies is based on Section 15 para. 3 sentence 1 TMG. The processing of your personal data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR due to our overriding legitimate interest in the needs-based and targeted design of our website as well as Vimeo's legitimate interest in market analysis and in improving its services in a needs-based and targeted manner. You have the right, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to object at any time to this processing of personal data concerning you.

If you do not want Vimeo to assign the collected information directly to your Vimeo account, you must log out of Vimeo before visiting our website.

Further information on the purpose and scope of collection and on the further use and processing of the data by Vimeo as well as your related rights and options for protecting your privacy can be found in Vimeo's privacy notices: https://vimeo.com/privacy
