Recommended use: Take 1-2 capsules daily, unchewed, with sufficient liquid with a meal.

Four ingredients instead of twenty

A capsule can only hold a limited amount. Every additional ingredient therefore inevitably comes at the expense of the others. Formulas with twenty items on the label may look abundant, but they cause the later lines to end up in the milligram range or below.

This formula is limited to four components. That is not frugality, but a decision about where the space goes. Anyone reading the ingredient list of a combination product should therefore not count the number of lines, but the amounts behind them.

Combination or single product

When compared with our single-ingredient products, the difference is immediately clear: the organic ashwagandha capsules contain 500 mg of the same branded extract, here it is 120 mg. For passionflower, it is 375 mg versus 100 mg.

That is the trade-off every combination makes: several components in one capsule, but each in a smaller amount. If you want a single plant in the full amount, the single product is the better choice. If you want the combination, you consciously accept the smaller quantities.

Why magnesium oxide is listed here

In our pure magnesium products, we use citrate and bisglycinate, which dissolve much better. In this formula, it is magnesium oxide, and there is a straightforward reason: space.

Oxide contains about 60 percent magnesium, citrate only about 15. So for the same 30 mg of magnesium, 49.8 mg of oxide is enough, while citrate would require about 195 mg, or four times the space. In a capsule with four ingredients, there would be no room for that. Where magnesium is the main focus, we choose the more soluble compound; where it is an added ingredient, the more compact one.

The four forms of vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 comes in several forms. Cyanocobalamin is the most stable and least expensive, hydroxocobalamin the one commonly found in foods. Methyl- and adenosylcobalamin are the two forms used directly in the body; here it is methylcobalamin.

What is notable is its origin: B12 is produced exclusively by bacteria and archaea. Neither plants nor animals can make it. What is found in meat, eggs, or cheese ultimately comes from microbial production, and the same applies to the B12 in this capsule, which is obtained through fermentation.
