Black Maca as a 10:1 Root Extract
Maca comes in several color types, which differ significantly in how common they are. Vitalplant's Black Maca capsules contain a concentrated 10:1 extract from the black variety.
What a 10:1 Extract Means
For one part extract, ten parts of dried maca root are used. A capsule with 450 mg of extract therefore corresponds mathematically to around 4,500 mg of root material. This is the difference from pure maca powder, which is not concentrated.
Why black maca is rarer. Most of the harvest consists of yellow tubers. Red and black types make up only a smaller share. They are sorted by hand after harvest, which explains the higher price.
The color is in the skin. Yellow, red, and black describe the color of the tuber surface. It is the same species, not different plants.
Lepidium meyenii: Cultivation in the Andes
Maca belongs to the mustard family and is therefore related to radish and cress. The plant is grown in the high altitudes of the Peruvian Andes, often above 4,000 meters.
There, there are strong temperature fluctuations, intense sunlight, and thin air. After harvesting, the tubers are traditionally dried in the sun, which takes several weeks. Only then does the extraction follow.
Black Maca Capsules: Composition and Quality
The formula consists of two components: the maca root extract and the capsule shell made of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. No fillers, no flow agents, no colorants. The product is vegan and gluten-free, filled in amber glass. Each batch is tested for heavy metals by an independent laboratory.

Five ingredients that together add up to exactly 15 g
Pre Workout+ from Vitalplant contains L-citrulline malate, creatine monohydrate, L-glutamine, L-taurine, and acetyl-L-carnitine. Nothing else, and that can be verified.
The math adds up
Each serving contains 5 g L-citrulline malate, 4 g creatine monohydrate, 4 g L-glutamine, 1.5 g L-taurine, and 0.5 g acetyl-L-carnitine in the scoop. Added together, that makes exactly 15 g, and exactly 15 g is one serving.
So there is no remainder for carriers, flavorings, colorings, or sweeteners. And there is no catch-all ingredient hiding unknown amounts. Each ingredient is listed with its amount.
What we are allowed to say about it
Of the five ingredients, exactly one carries an EU-approved health claim: Creatine increases physical performance in successive bursts of short-term, high-intensity exercise. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 3 g creatine. The claim applies to adults performing high-intensity exercise.
That threshold is met here. Creatine monohydrate contains bound crystal water, which is why 4 g monohydrate correspond to around 3.5 g of pure creatine.
No claim is approved for citrulline, glutamine, taurine, or acetyl-L-carnitine. We are not repeating what is circulated about them on forums and labels. Instead, we state the amounts so you can compare them with what you already know.
Caffeine-free, and what that means
Most pre-workout products get their noticeable effect from caffeine, often in amounts of 200 mg or more. This one contains none.
That has two consequences. First, the powder also works for training late in the evening without costing you the night. Second, the familiar kick many people look for in a pre-workout is missing. If that is what you expect, you will not find it here.
If you also use our creatine powder or glutamine powder, you should add the amounts together: both ingredients are already included here at 4 g per serving.
Vitalplant is led by Christian Lazar, a licensed pharmacist with over 35 years of professional experience at Stern Apotheke.
Why 5 g of monohydrate becomes 4.4 g of creatine
Vitalplant creatine powder consists of pure creatine monohydrate. The name already explains why the two numbers on the pack differ: monohydrate means that one water molecule is bound to each creatine molecule.
Creatine has a molar mass of 131.1, monohydrate 149.2. Calculating the ratio shows that 87.9 percent of the mass is creatine itself. One scoop of monohydrate therefore yields 4.4 g of creatine. Anyone comparing creatine products should look at this second number, not the first.
What is authorised and what applies to it
For creatine, there are two health claims approved in the EU, and both are tied to clear conditions.
Creatine increases physical performance during speed-strength training in the context of short-term intense physical exertion. The positive effect is achieved with a daily intake of 3 g of creatine. The claim is intended for adults who perform intense physical activity.
Daily creatine intake can improve the effect of strength training on muscle strength in adults over 55 years of age. Here too, the rule is: 3 g of creatine daily, in combination with strength training that allows an increase in muscle exertion over time, at least three times a week over several weeks and at an intensity of at least 65 to 75 percent of the one-repetition maximum.
Both claims therefore require training. Without a training stimulus, there is nothing to enhance.
Monohydrate and the amount in food
Creatine occurs naturally in meat and fish, in beef at roughly 4 to 5 g per kilogram of raw muscle meat. One serving of this powder therefore corresponds to roughly the creatine content of one kilo of raw beef steak.
Monohydrate is the form named in the approved claims and the one that underpins by far the largest share of the available studies. It is also the simplest and most affordable option.
Purity and processing
One ingredient, no flavouring, no sweetener, no anti-caking agent. The powder is practically tasteless and dissolves in 300 ml of liquid without residue. Not intended for children and teenagers, but expressly for adults. If you already take our Pre Workout+ you should know that it already contains 4 g of creatine monohydrate per serving.

Shelled organic hemp seeds with 34 g protein per 100 g
Hemp seeds are among the most protein-rich plant-based foods there are. Shelled, they taste mild and nutty, similar to pine nuts, and can be used without preparation.
Shelled or unshelled
Unshelled hemp seeds have a hard, fibrous hull that crunches unpleasantly when chewed. Shelling removes it, leaving the soft seed kernel.
Food-grade hemp is not an intoxicant. For food products, only approved industrial hemp varieties are grown, with THC content limited by law. The seed itself naturally contains practically no THC.
Our hemp seeds come from EU agriculture and controlled organic farming, certified according to the EU Organic Regulation, inspection body number DE-ÖKO-039.
Nutritional values and use
Per 100 g, the shelled seeds contain 34.3 g protein and 43.5 g fat, of which only 4 g are saturated fatty acids. Carbohydrates are 6.4 g, and fiber is 3.8 g. The energy value is 2,351 kJ, or 562 kcal.
That means around 25 percent of the energy value comes from protein. The EU threshold for a high-protein claim is 20 percent.
Shelled hemp seeds need no preparation. They are great on salads, yogurt, and porridge, in smoothies, or as an ingredient in bread and baked goods. They should only be heated briefly, as the fatty acids are delicate.
Organic hemp seeds: origin and quality
One ingredient only: shelled organic hemp seeds. No additives, no oil, no salt. Due to the high fat content, cool storage in the resealable stand-up pouch is recommended. Each batch is tested for heavy metals by an independent laboratory.

Organic Ceylon cinnamon, not cassia
Most cinnamon sold on the market is cassia. Ceylon cinnamon is a different type, more labor-intensive to produce and significantly more expensive. Vitalplant’s organic cinnamon capsules contain only Ceylon cinnamon from controlled organic cultivation.
The difference between Ceylon and cassia
Both come from trees of the Cinnamomum genus, but they are different species. Ceylon cinnamon comes from Cinnamomum verum, while cassia comes mainly from Cinnamomum cassia.
Visible in the stick. Ceylon cinnamon sticks consist of many thin layers of bark rolled together and can be crumbled. Cassia sticks are a single thick layer of bark rolled tightly into a hard stick.
The coumarin content. Coumarin is a natural flavoring substance that occurs in cassia cinnamon at a much higher concentration than in Ceylon cinnamon. The German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment has defined a tolerable daily intake for this. Ceylon cinnamon has a many times lower coumarin content.
500 mg of Ceylon cinnamon powder per capsule. Ground bark, not concentrated, with no additional ingredients.
Cinnamomum verum: tree and harvest
The Ceylon cinnamon tree comes from Sri Lanka and South India. It is not the wood that is harvested, but the inner bark of young shoots. It is peeled by hand, and as it dries, the characteristic curls form.
The raw material for our capsules is certified in accordance with the EU organic regulation, inspection body number DE-ÖKO-039, origin non-EU agriculture.
Organic cinnamon capsules: composition and quality
The formula consists of two ingredients: organic Ceylon cinnamon powder and the capsule shell made of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. No fillers, no anti-caking agents, no colorings. The product is vegan and gluten-free, filled in amber glass. Each batch is tested for heavy metals by an independent laboratory.

Fourteen ingredients with zinc, B vitamins, and pantothenic acid
Vitalplant’s Brain Complex combines plant and mushroom extracts with two phospholipid compounds and four micronutrients. The daily dose is three capsules.
What’s in the daily dose
360 mg plant extract complex from Brahmi, ginger, and rosemary. Brahmi, botanically Bacopa monnieri, is a marsh plant from South Asia.
360 mg Hericium extract with 30 percent polysaccharides, plus 270 mg Hericium powder and 270 mg Tremella fuciformis extract. Tremella is a jelly-like mushroom that is also used as an edible mushroom in East Asia.
180 mg phosphatidylserine and 120 mg citicoline. Both belong to the phospholipids or their precursors, and thus to the building blocks of cell membranes.
60 mg Ginkgo biloba extract in a 45:1 ratio, standardized to 24 percent flavone glycosides and 6 percent terpene lactones. Also included are 120 mg each of pine bark and larch bark extract, plus 15 mg black pepper extract.
What the micronutrients do
Pantothenic acid contributes to normal mental performance. Zinc contributes to normal cognitive function.
Thiamine and vitamin B12 contribute to the normal function of the nervous system and to normal psychological function. All of the statements listed are included in the EU Register of authorized health claims.
There are no authorized claims for the plant and mushroom extracts, for phosphatidylserine, or for citicoline. For these, we state the amount and standardization.

Fermented, fiber, and medicinal mushrooms in one package
Darm Vital brings together three products from our gut and liver theme world, each taking a different approach: a fermented herbal elixir, a fiber blend with medicinal mushrooms, and natural psyllium husks. More affordable in a bundle than ordered separately.
What’s in the package
Organic Darm Elixir fermented drink. A liquid concentrate made from 22 fermented ingredients in organic quality. During fermentation, microorganisms break down the plant-based raw materials and transform them into a characteristically tangy drink, completely free from additives.
Organic Darm Vital powder. Combines seven fiber-rich superfoods with two organic medicinal mushrooms in a powder for shakes or muesli.
Organic psyllium husks. Finely ground, natural husks from India. Psyllium husks are among the most fiber-rich foods of all and swell up considerably when mixed with liquid.
Fiber in everyday life
The German Nutrition Society recommends at least 30 g of fiber per day, a value many people do not reach in everyday life. The three products in this package can be flexibly spread throughout the day, from the elixir in the morning to the psyllium husks in muesli. Important: always drink enough with psyllium husks.
Composition and quality
All three products are certified organic and come unchanged from our range, without additives and with independent laboratory testing for each batch. Details on recommended intake and preparation can be found on the product pages.

Three products for men aged 30+
Men's Vital 30+ brings together three products from our men's health range, tailored to life from age 30 onwards. Instead of placing three separate orders, you get a coordinated bundle at a price lower than the total cost of the individual products.
What's in the bundle
Men's Capsules. This complex combines the amino acids L-citrulline and L-arginine with pine bark extract, zinc, and selenium. L-citrulline can be converted into L-arginine in the body, which is why the combination of these two amino acids forms the core of the formula.
Organic Black Maca Powder. Black maca is considered the rarest color variety of the Peruvian root. The powder comes from organic farming, and one serving is 10 g, to mix into a smoothie, muesli, or yogurt.
Shilajit Capsules. Shilajit is a mineral-rich resin from mountainous regions with a long history in Ayurvedic tradition. We use the purified and standardized branded ingredient PrimaVie.
What zinc and selenium do
Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood. Selenium contributes to normal spermatogenesis. Both trace elements also help protect cells from oxidative stress. These claims are listed in the EU Register of authorized health claims.
Composition and quality
All three products come from our range unchanged: no unnecessary additives, and every batch is independently laboratory tested. Details on recommended use and composition can be found on the respective product pages.

15 Bacterial Cultures with Vitamin B2 and Biotin
Vitalplant’s Kulturen Komplex capsules combine fifteen different live bacterial cultures with two vitamins. One capsule daily, taken about 30 minutes before a meal.
What’s inside the capsule
25 billion CFU per capsule. CFU stands for colony-forming units. The unit does not count bacteria in the literal sense, but the number of germs that can form a visible colony under laboratory conditions. For live cultures, this is the usual measure.
Fifteen strains from three genera. These include five bifidobacteria, eight lactobacilli, and one representative each of Streptococcus thermophilus and Enterococcus faecium. The cultures differ in their growth conditions and acid tolerance.
Vitamin B2 and Biotin. 1.27 mg riboflavin corresponds to 91 percent of the nutrient reference value, 46 micrograms biotin corresponds to 92 percent.
What Vitamin B2 and Biotin do
Riboflavin and biotin both contribute to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes and to normal energy metabolism. Riboflavin also helps reduce tiredness and fatigue and helps protect cells from oxidative stress.
Biotin contributes to normal metabolism of macronutrients and to normal psychological function. All stated claims are listed in the EU Register of nutrition and health claims.
Kulturen Komplex capsules: composition and quality
The formula consists of the culture mix, riboflavin, biotin, and the capsule shell made of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. No fillers, no anti-caking agents, no colorings. Live cultures are sensitive to heat and moisture, so they are filled in amber glass and cool, dry storage is recommended. Each batch is tested for heavy metals by an independent laboratory.

Eight B vitamins, 900 µg folate per capsule
The B Komplex Forte from Vitalplant focuses on the essentials: eight B vitamins, no additives. Folate and biotin are significantly higher here than in our B Komplex Aktiv.
What’s in the daily capsule
Folate as calcium L-methylfolate, 900 µg. That corresponds to 450 percent of the nutrient reference value. Calcium L-methylfolate is 5-methyltetrahydrofolate and therefore the form in which folate is present in the blood.
Biotin, 400 µg, or 800 percent of the nutrient reference value. Vitamin B12 as cyanocobalamin, 20 µg, also 800 percent.
The other five. Niacin 40 mg, pantothenic acid 46 mg, thiamine 20 mg, riboflavin 15 mg and vitamin B6 11 mg. All are between 250 and 1,818 percent of the nutrient reference value.
The difference from our B Komplex Aktiv: it also includes alpha lipoic acid, coenzyme Q10, choline, vitamin C and vitamin E, and the B12 is in the form of methylcobalamin. The Forte complex omits these in favor of higher folate and biotin levels.
What B vitamins do
Thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, vitamin B6, biotin and vitamin B12 contribute to normal energy metabolism. Riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, vitamin B6, folate and vitamin B12 contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B6, biotin and vitamin B12 contribute to the normal function of the nervous system. Folate contributes to normal amino acid synthesis and plays a role in cell division. All of the claims listed are entered in the EU Register of authorized health claims.

Milk thistle extract with 80 percent silymarin
Milk thistle is one of the longest-cultivated plants in Europe. The milk thistle capsules from Vitalplant contain an extract from the ripe seeds, standardized to 80 percent silymarin.
What silymarin is
Silymarin is not a single substance, but a mixture. It consists of several flavonolignans, especially silybinin, silychristin, and silydianin. These compounds occur almost exclusively in milk thistle and are the reason why the seeds of this plant are used.
80 percent is a high level of standardization. The silymarin content in the raw seed is significantly lower. An extract with 80 percent means that four out of five components of the extract come from this group of substances.
The seeds are used. Not the herb, not the root. The seeds ripen in the distinctive spiky flower heads and are dried and defatted after harvest.
Silybum marianum: plant and naming history
Milk thistle is a member of the daisy family, grows up to one and a half meters tall, and bears purple flower heads. Its leaves are striking: they show a pattern of white veins that looks as if milk had run over them.
That is exactly where the name comes from. A medieval legend traced the white markings back to the Virgin Mary's milk, which was said to have dripped onto the leaves. The botanical species name marianum preserves this story to this day. In monastery gardens, the plant was a fixed component.

Pure organic maca powder from black tubers
Vitalplant Organic Black Maca Powder consists of exactly one ingredient: ground black maca root from certified organic cultivation. No extract, no additives, no fillers.
Powder or extract
With powder, the dried tuber is simply ground up. Its composition therefore corresponds to the whole root, including all fiber and carbohydrates. An extract, by contrast, concentrates certain components and leaves others behind.
Nutrition values per 100 grams. 23.4 g fiber, 16.3 g protein, 48.9 g carbohydrates and 0.77 g fat. The energy value is 1,324 kJ, or 314 kcal.
Taste and use. Maca powder has a malty, nutty flavor with a slightly earthy note. It can be stirred into smoothies, shakes, yogurt, or muesli and is also suitable for baking.
Lepidium meyenii: cultivation in the Andes
Maca belongs to the crucifer family and is related to radish and cress. The plant is grown in the Peruvian Andes, often above 4,000 meters, where there are strong temperature fluctuations and intense sunlight.
Harvesting produces mainly yellow tubers. Black types make up only a smaller share and are sorted out by hand. Traditionally, they are dried in the sun, which takes several weeks.

Three building blocks for joints and bones
Joints Vital combines three products that complement each other: a comprehensive joint complex, highly concentrated Boswellia extract, and vitamins D3 and K2 in drop form. More affordable as a bundle than buying separately.
What’s in the bundle
Joint Complex Capsules. The formula combines glucosamine, a vegan chondroitin alternative, MSM, and hyaluronic acid with selected micronutrients. This means it covers the best-known building blocks of joint support in one product.
Boswellia Capsules. The extract from the resin of the Boswellia tree is standardized to 90 percent boswellic acids, which is the level used to measure high-quality Boswellia extracts.
Vitamin D3 + K2 Drops. Vegan vitamin D3 from lichens, combined with vitamin K2, dissolved in oil and dosable drop by drop.
What vitamin D and K do
Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and the maintenance of normal muscle function. Vitamin K also contributes to the maintenance of normal bones. Both claims are listed in the EU Register of authorized health claims. Since vitamin D is produced by the body mainly through sunlight, ensuring adequate intake in the darker months is a common concern.
Composition and quality
All three products come directly from our range, without unnecessary additives, and with independent laboratory testing for each batch. You can find details on the recommended intake and composition on the product pages.

Sage capsules with 4:1 extract from the leaves
You probably know sage as a kitchen herb or as tea. Vitalplant’s sage capsules provide the leaves in concentrated form as a 4:1 extract, without brewing and without the strong natural taste.
What a 4:1 sage extract means
An extract ratio of 4:1 describes how concentrated the plant is. Four parts of dried sage leaves are used to produce one part extract. The daily serving therefore corresponds to around 1,400 mg of leaf material. In contrast, the composition of loose dried leaves varies depending on harvest, location, and storage time.
What’s in the leaves. Sage leaves naturally contain essential oils, rosmarinic acid, flavonoids, and tannins and bitter compounds. The typical aroma comes mainly from the essential oils, which sit in tiny glandular hairs on the leaf surface.
Capsules instead of an infusion. If you have previously drunk sage as tea, the capsules give you a fixed amount per serving rather than an infusion whose strength depends on steeping time and the amount of leaves used.
Salvia officinalis: plant and origin
Common sage belongs to the mint family and grows as an evergreen semi-shrub reaching 30 to 50 centimeters in height. It has gray-green, finely hairy leaves and violet flowers. Only the leaves are used. The plant originally comes from the Mediterranean region and prefers sunny, calcareous soils.
One of Europe’s oldest cultivated plants. In the Capitulare de villis, a Carolingian ordinance for the administration of estates around the year 800, sage is listed by name as a plant to be cultivated. Through monastery gardens, it spread throughout Central Europe. For beekeepers, sage remains a valued nectar source to this day.
Sage capsules: composition and quality
The formula consists of exactly two ingredients: sage extract and the capsule shell made of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. No fillers, no anti-caking agents, no colorants. The product is vegan, gluten-free, and sugar-free, filled in amber glass. A plant extract is only as good as its raw material, which is why every batch is tested for heavy metals by an independent laboratory.

Organic aronia berry powder from EU cultivation
The aronia berry is hardly edible in its raw state. Its high tannin content makes it so tart that it is almost never eaten fresh. The organic Aronia capsules from Vitalplant contain the ground fruit powder with no other ingredients.
What makes the berry special
The color comes from anthocyanins. Aronia berries are among the darkest fruits of all. Responsible for this are anthocyanins, water-soluble plant pigments from the flavonoid group, which also give elderberry, blueberry, and red cabbage their color.
Tannins shape the flavor. The tart, astringent note comes from tannins. They are the reason aronia is traditionally processed into juice, liqueur, or jam instead of being eaten fresh.
500 mg of fruit powder per capsule. Ground whole berry, not concentrated. The raw material is certified according to the EU organic regulation, control body number DE-ÖKO-039, origin EU agriculture.
Aronia melanocarpa: shrub and cultivation
The black chokeberry originally comes from eastern North America. It belongs to the rose family and is therefore related to apples and pears, which is also reflected in the German name.
The plant came to Europe in the 19th century. It is extremely frost-hardy and has low soil requirements, which is why it has become established as a cultivated plant in Eastern Europe and now also in Germany. It is harvested in late summer.
Organic Aronia capsules: composition and quality
The formula consists of two components: organic aronia berry powder and the capsule shell made of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. No fillers, no anti-caking agents, no colorings. Named after a caterpillar, delivered as an extract
Cordyceps capsules from Vitalplant contain extract from Cordyceps sinensis, known in German as caterpillar fungus. The name is unusual enough to deserve an explanation.
Where the name comes from
Cordyceps sinensis grows wild on the Tibetan plateau, at altitudes between 3,000 and 5,000 meters. There, the fungus infects the larvae of root borers, grows through them, and in spring sends a slender, club-shaped stalk up from the ground.
The Tibetan name Yartsa Gunbu describes exactly that: summer grass, winter worm. Wild-collected specimens are among the most expensive natural products of all and are traded by weight.
Taxonomically, the species has been correctly called Ophiocordyceps sinensis since 2007. The older name Cordyceps sinensis has remained in trade and is therefore also listed on our ingredients list.
What we are allowed to say about it — and what we are not
For medicinal mushrooms, not a single health claim is approved in the EU. The relevant applications have been sitting unresolved for years on the so-called on-hold list, neither approved nor rejected.
We could fill this limbo with hints. We do not. What appears on this page is the species, origin, and extract amount, and that can be verified.
Positioning in the range and quality
Cordyceps is the only one of our medicinal mushrooms without organic certification. It is also the only one not included in the Organic Medicinal Mushroom Complex. If you want it, you need these capsules.
The extract sits in a vegan capsule shell made of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, without anti-caking agents and without filler. It is filled in amber glass because brown glass largely blocks the UV portion of light.

Dried organic goji berries from China
Botanically, goji berries are not berries in the strict sense and are more closely related to the tomato than to blueberries or raspberries. Dried, they taste sweet and tart with a slightly earthy note.
What the goji berry is
Lycium barbarum belongs to the nightshade family, the same family as tomatoes, potatoes, and peppers. The shrub grows up to three meters tall and bears small purple flowers from which the bright orange-red fruits develop.
The color comes from carotenoids. The same group of compounds also gives carrots and rose hips their color. In the goji berry, zeaxanthin is the predominant carotenoid.
Goji berries are grown mainly in northern China. After harvest, they are gently dried, which gives them their typical slightly leathery texture. Our berries come from certified organic cultivation, certified according to the EU organic regulation, inspection body number DE-ÖKO-039.
Nutrition values and use
Per 100 g, the dried berries contain 11.9 g fiber, 10.6 g protein, and 53 g carbohydrates, of which 49.9 g are naturally occurring fruit sugar. The calorific value is 1,192 kJ, or 281 kcal.
At 11.9 g of fiber per 100 g, the content is double the EU threshold for claiming high fiber content.
Goji berries can be eaten straight from the hand, added to muesli and porridge, or used for baking. Soaked in warm water, they become softer again.
Organic goji berries: origin and quality
One single ingredient: organic goji berries, dried and unsulphured. No added sugar, no preservatives, no flavorings. Packed in a resealable stand-up pouch. Every batch is tested for heavy metals by an independent laboratory.

Pure L-Glutamine, with no additives and no promises
Glutamine powder from Vitalplant has one ingredient: L-glutamine. No flavouring, no sweetener, no filler, no blend with other amino acids.
What L-glutamine is
L-glutamine is the most abundant free amino acid in the human body. It is found in both blood plasma and muscle tissue at a much higher concentration than any other.
Biochemically, it is classified as a non-essential amino acid because the body can produce it itself. Through food, it is found in all protein-rich foods, bound within their proteins.
This is where the information we are allowed to provide ends. No health claims have been approved for L-glutamine in the EU. We could fill the gap with hints, as is common in this product category. Instead, we state what can be verified: the substance, the amount, and the purity.
A peculiarity in preparation
L-glutamine is not permanently stable in aqueous solution. It breaks down over time, and the warmer and more acidic the liquid is, the faster this happens.
In practice, that means: mix it and drink it promptly. A shake prepared in the morning and drunk at midday is no longer the same. Cold or lukewarm drinks are preferable to hot ones.
The 300 ml in the recommended serving is no coincidence. L-glutamine is one of the less soluble amino acids, and in a small glass some of it quickly remains at the bottom.
Purity and processing
The powder is white, fine-crystalline, and tastes almost neutral with a slightly sweet note.
Filled in a resealable stand-up pouch. Store in a cool, dry place, do not freeze, and protect from direct sunlight. Anyone who also uses our Pre Workout+ already gets 4 g of L-glutamine per serving from it.

200 µg Selenium as selenomethionine
Selenium is a trace element that the body needs only in very small amounts. Vitalplant selenium capsules provide 200 micrograms per capsule, bound as selenomethionine.
Why the binding form matters
Selenomethionine is an organic selenium compound. The selenium in it sits in the position where sulfur would otherwise be in the amino acid methionine. Inorganic alternatives such as sodium selenite are structured differently.
200 micrograms correspond to 363 percent of the nutrient reference value. The amount is given in micrograms, not milligrams — with selenium, required amounts are a thousand times lower than, for example, with magnesium.
400 mg buckwheat germ extract. The plant extract forms the capsule matrix. Despite its name, buckwheat is not a grain, but a knotweed plant and therefore naturally gluten-free.
What selenium does
Selenium contributes to the maintenance of normal hair and normal nails. It helps protect cells from oxidative stress and contributes to normal thyroid function.
Selenium also contributes to normal sperm production. All of the claims listed are included in the EU Register of authorized health claims.
Selenium capsules: composition and quality
The formula consists of three ingredients: buckwheat germ extract, selenomethionine, and the capsule shell made of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. No fillers, no anti-caking agents, no colorants. The product is vegan and gluten-free, bottled in amber glass. Every batch is tested for heavy metals by an independent laboratory.

Men’s Vital 50+ brings together three products specifically designed for men over 50: our Prosta Plant herbal complex, Men’s Capsules with amino acids and pine bark, and Vitamin D3 with K2. Save compared with ordering the products individually.
What’s in the bundle
Prosta Plant Capsules. These capsules combine three traditional plants associated with men’s health: pumpkin seed, saw palmetto, and nettle root. The formula is supplemented with zinc, selenium, and vitamin E.
Men’s Capsules. L-citrulline and L-arginine combined with pine bark extract, zinc, and selenium. The daily serving is two capsules twice a day.
Vitamin D3+ Capsules. Vitamin D3 at a dosage of 2000 I.E., supplemented with vitamin K2 and magnesium. One capsule every other day is sufficient.
What zinc, selenium, and vitamin D do
Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood. Selenium contributes to normal sperm production and helps protect cells from oxidative stress. Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and normal muscle function. These claims are listed in the EU Register of authorised health claims.

All three products come straight from our range, with no unnecessary additives and every batch independently laboratory tested. Details on recommended use and ingredients can be found on the respective product pages.
